Renioval of these washes by decantation is tedious, tinue-consummiing, and liable to error. It was decided to design a maliifol(l which would remove 40 washes sinmultaneously, without any technical skill being required of the techmniciami. \Iali\’ authors have (lescribed various j)ittahls in the erythrocvte uptake technic. An excellent bibliography is to be found in a paper by Yemi (2). All emimphasize that a carefully standardized procedure on a timed schedule is necessary for repro(iucible results. In our opinion, after 6 mommths of experience, this miianifold has improved our reproducibility.
